かなしいせんりゅう

(1)
れいぞこう
ドアをあけます
なにもない。

Open the door
of the refrigerator
Nothing there

(2)
おきました
テストがない
ねました

I woke up
No test
I went back to sleep

(3)
ビルがない
私のせいがつは
むずかしい

I don't have a building
Life is
hard

* Though there could be different uses for Katakana,
in my 'senryu's, I only use Katakana as a direct translation of
English Words

ドア = Door
テスト= Test
ビル = Building

  1. I really enjoyed your Senryu, especially the "I don't have a building, thus life is hard; I woke, no test, I went back to sleep; and, nothing was in the refrigerator," were all very impressive. You obviously put a great deal of consideration into your work.

    In general, it was very nice to get a glimpse of your homor. I really enjoyed that.

    As for your katakana analysis, hmmm? I am still considering the substance thereof... Lol...

  2. ケンさん、

    I really like your last senryu. You should call it "Homeless Life". lol. As far as the use of Katakana goes, I think it works to add some variety to the visual aspect of the senryu. the straight lines contrast with the very curvy lines of the Hiragana.

  3. あはは。おもしろいですね。

    でも2ばんと3ばんはどうして5-7-5じゃありませんか?

    I think you should use うち instead of ビル in #3.
    because not many people own building and not owning a building is not sad (we are not Mr. Trump, you know)

    I am glad that you have captured the beauty of senryu.

    Lubeensan,

    As you get older and get to senior year, you will understand it with your heart

    Heromisan,

    I heard that senryu does not have to follow the exact format...hmm
